With the festivities on in full swing, our tinsel town beauties are ensuring not to miss any chance of playing dress Up the Indian way. Indian ensembles have a charm of their own and though we all have made a gradual shift to western clothing, we have to admit, nothing defines an Indian women’s personality much more than an ethnic outfit. It’s like our alter ego – our second skin that seems to fit in, just right.
With Navratri on, and Diwali just around the corner, this month dig into your cupboards to bring out those chaniya cholis, and the heavily embellished sarees and lehengas. If shopping is on your agenda, then we would say that you take some inspiration from the style files of Bollywood’s popular celebrities, who are currently at their ethnic best.

Kareena Kapoor
Seems like maternity has regenerated all the trendy cells of Kareena Kapoor Khan. The lady is glowing and is showing off her baby bump with so much oomph. At an event in Kolkata, Kareena chose a cape suit by Anamika Khanna. with that bit of sheer, she gave us a peek to her full grown belly. Stylist Tanya Ghavri paired the embellished cape with a heavy Amrapali choker which appeared to be an add-on to the cape itself. Kareena finished her desi look with a pair of Jimmy Choo gladiators. looks like all black ethnic wear is Kareena’s new mantra. We suggest you take a cue and look out for a regal all black piece to make a statement this festive season.

Nargis Fakhri
Nargis Fakhri is a certain rock star when it concerns styling up. mostly seen in her western avatar, the lady turned heads at a Camiseta Yokohama F. Marinos recent event in Texas with her desi charm. In a hot pink cape and skirt set from the 2016 Couture Collection Camiseta TSG 1899 Hoffenheim of Anita Dongre she looked like a modern day Indian princess. like Nargis, we too are in love with Anita’s unconventional take on Indian dressing. The cropped cape adorned with silver gota work blended well with the embroidered skirt. Brownie points to ace stylist, Alia Al Rufai for styling this drool-worthy look. A pair of heavy jhumkas, slick back pony and a fuchsia pout rounded up this wonderful look. We are already on our lookout to wear a similar look this festive and wedding season.

Shilpa Shetty
If we have to name one Bollywood charm with that ideal 10 body, it would be Shilpa Shetty. with that curvaceous body, Mrs Kundra added a spark to any ensemble. but we plead guilty of loving her much more for her ethnic appearances. Off-late, the mother of one has been giving our soaring eyes quite a stylish feast with her appearances on the very Dancer show. last week she slayed us with her desi looks just ahead of Navratri.
In a striped blouse and patch work lehenga set from Anupama Dayal, Shilpa Shetty looked all set for the 9 days of festivities. With a burst of bright festive colors, she took Navratri dress-up a notch higher. Sanjana Batra, the lady behind this look, amped up the dandiya fever by choosing feather danglers from Deepa Gurnani and a kutch work cuff from Amrapali equipping this Navratri special to perfection.

For another round of very Dancer, Shilpa chose a draped gown from Amit Aggarwal. The saree-cum-gown set in the muted peacock tones of blues and greens looked gorgeous. The metallic embellished yolk clinched at the waist, accentuated her curves further. keeping her accessory game to minimal, stylist Sanjana Batra styled the outfit with a pair of complimenting Minerali earrings.

For her second festive look, stylist Shweta Navandar styled Pooja in a lehenga from designer Krishna Mehta. To complement the heavy embroidered landscape, she chose a subtle striped blouse layered with a conventional jacket, from the house of Priyal Prakash. just Jewelery India earrings, Astha Jagwani body chain and just Shraddha’s ring completed this look.

Karishma Tanna
Karishma Tanna, who is supposedly recovering from heartbreak after her break up with beau Upen Patel, came all guns out to slay the crowd at a garba event. Decked up in a teal floral embroidered lehenga and beige dupatta paired with a heavily embellished fuchsia top, all from designer Payal Singhal, Karishma gave us some major Navratri vibe. Stylist Ankita, styled Tanna’s pretty look with a stunning pair of earrings and maangtika from SSoul Jewelery. Camiseta Selección de fútbol de Dinamarca With a hot pink sling and winged liner Karishma looked all set for playing garba the fashionista way.

Soha Ali Khan
Though pictures from Soha’s recent pajama party birthday bash are going viral, we got hooked to her desi look, the Nawab heir, sported at an event lately. We have to agree that royalty is embedded within her genes and in a skirt and top set from Saakshi Kinni, Soha Ali Khan displayed her regal charm yet again. With coral florals set in a muted olive escapade, this one was a breather from the typical bright festive colors. Stylist, Neha Bijlaney equipped the outfit with jhumkas and an exotic ring from Minerali. If you are not in agreement with wearing the typical pinks, reds and oranges then we did strongly recommend the color of this season, olive.

Mugdha Godse
After a long break, we found actress Mugdha Godse donning an ethnic outfit, at the society awards in Mumbai. The lady did make for a trendy comeback in a blue draped saree from Mint blush Designs. The tie and dye top was certainly the highlight of this outfit. Styed by the duo at Who-Wore-What-When, Mugdha made quite an impact wearing the outfit with a heavy choker necklace, earrings and a statement cuff from Aara and Inaayat. Silver peeps from Pratinava and a sling grasp from Anandita rounded up Mugdha’s red carpet look. Folks, we did suggest you try a piece like this for Dussehra, considering tie and dye is currently trending high on the fashion radar.
